Folklore Programs and Studios – Folk Dancing

When the heart starts dancing and the blood is beating in the rhythm of the drum …then you start feeling yourself divine. The sweetest smile is written all over your face, your legs and arms move in beautiful motions. Everything around you sinks in stillness. It is real magic… for young and old. Once taken by that magic there is no escape from it.
You look at the dancers and, oh yes, you are ready to join the dance. Wait, wait, that “easy” flying and beauty of the dance are not that easy to accomplish. They have to be learned. So, we offer to you our help in learning that magic art - the Bulgarian folk dancing. Come on, join the horo.

Highlights:

• Getting to know one of the most popular folk arts
• Learning five Bulgarian dances (hora) from different folk regions
• Participating in some local traditions depending on the season of the visit
• Instructors are professional dancers and dance teachers
• Taking part in a traditional form of a dance competition – “outdancing”

• In double rooms at guest houses which are cultural land marks in the villages of Koprivshtitsa, Melnik
